Feeding people is the easy part.
We started out as youth ministers, running feeding schemes in high-poverty communities.
When you enter someone's trauma, you enter their drama.
Being among those families, we saw the abuse going on behind the hunger. So we grew from feeding kids to taking care of them. As many as we can afford.
For 30 years we did corporate fundraising. It burnt us out. Funders who never see the ground judge every rand you spend, sometimes in public.
Here is the truth. You can get food donated. You can often get volunteers. The heavy lifting is facilities, admin, logistics, fuel, internet and electricity.
So we make games. Our team has spent decades on events, TV and radio ads, indie cinema and music, and we are all gamers. Games are how we unwind from hard days. Building something fun that carries the heavy lifting just made sense. The Web3 side means players can earn a little from what they win while they play.
